TMU Global Learning NYC Hub
The Creative School faculty at TMU offers a robust international program with hubs located around the world. Each year, students travel abroad to connect with industry professionals and engage in collaborative projects.
For the NYC program, the Global Learning team needed to provide students with a book that would display all programming, locations, and partners. The problem was how to present all the information to students, including approximate travel times to their next destination in a clear way.
The book also needed to reflect the excitement and energy of the city. For this, I utilized street photography and employed repetition and layering to arrange the pictures in a way that suggested tension and movement, depicting the bustling and sometimes chaotic atmosphere of New York City.
Using black and white only for the key information and maps, I paired it with photography to bring the concept to life.
